Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez was born in Mexico. She's an American-Mexican actress. She sings as well. She was raised by her mother, in the USA. Raised with racial remarks and felt unloved. In her 9th year that she started to feel more confident after receiving a rousing ovation in an audition. She not only gained confidence from the experience, but she also changed plans for her career. When she was 22, she was able to graduate from in the Julliard School of New York. She began her career at the age of 23 in Paul Simon's The Capeman on Broadway and the film You've Got Mail. In the Broadway first production of Spamalot she portrayed The Lady of The Lake which won the Tony Award as well as high praise from critics. Later that year, as Callie Torres on Grey's Anatomy for ABC the show, she received more appreciation. A well-known performer, she has also recorded a song and a play. Additionally, she works as a LGBT activist.
