Ali MacGraw

Elizabeth Alice MacGraw better known as Ali MacGraw is an award-winning American model actor author designer and animal rights activist. Ali MacGraw is well-known for her roles in films like Love Story, Goodbye Columbus and The Getaway. She was drawn to becoming an artist was in part influenced by her family background as a member of a New York family of artists. Her first job was as an assistant to photographers. She then moved on to modeling and acting. In her first two films, she was recognized as a winner of the Golden Globe Award as Most Promising Young Actress. MacGraw's film Love Story proved a major smash and brought her world recognition as well as an Academy Award' nomination and a Golden Globe award. In just three films, she became the top female box-office star in the entire world. Her footprints from 1972 along with her signature were engraved on the wall of Grauman's Chinese Theater. Other films she has appeared in include The Getaway Convoy Players as in the mini-series on TV The Winds of War. Moving Pictures, her 1991 autobiography, was released. MacGraw was married three times.
