Suzy Kolber was born Suzanne Lisa Kolber on May 14th 1964. She was born in Philadelphia Pennsylvania to a Jewish family. Suzy Kolber is now 58. Sandra Kolber was her mother as was Gene Kolber was her father. Her school was Sandy Run Middle School, Dresher Pennsylvania. In 1982 she graduated from Upper Dublin High School. It was the University of Miami awarded her an Associate of Arts (telecommunications) degree in the year 1986. She landed a job as an executive director of sports at Dynamic Cable located in Coral Gables Florida while she was an undergraduate student. Additionally, she worked for Dynamic Cable during two years between 1984 until 1986. The time she was employed she also played in the University of Miami's water-ski team. In her youth Plaza was a part of the community theater in her hometown of Wilmington acting, performing improv, as well as directing one-act theatre. Following her graduation from high school, she made the move in New York City. There she studied improv classes as well as film making at Tisch School of the Arts of New York University. She suffered an aphasia at age 20, a temporary defect that affects the ability to communicate and comprehend language.
